Cute coffee shop by Argyle that has a variety of different coffees. It is a little pricey for coffee but it's nice to offer some different options. The staff were all very nice and the coffee tasted good too. The coffee cups are cute too if you wanted to keep it in the future. I don't drink coffee too often but I enjoyed their lattes.

Fat Miilk is a newcomer to Asia on Argyle, bringing authentic Vietnamese coffee to the scene. Their signature offering is a traditional phin drip cold brew sweetened with condensed milk. If you arrive early you might be able to snag some pastries sourced from local providers. The café's sleek, all-black modern interior adds a chic touch to the experience. The baristas I have interacted with are all nice and quick to service. The prices are slightly higher than nearby options, but the coffee is definitely unique. It would also be nice if they opened earlier than 8:00 AM so I could grab a cup before work.

I had seen this place on instagram and wanted to check it out- it definitely lived up to the hype! Only issue was I wanted more quantity as the cups were super small. Also, the area doesn't really have much around it so it wasn't the best place to visit if you aren't local to Chicago. The seating was limited but still there but in the morning can get quite sunny with the light hitting the windows. Overall thought it was AMAZING but the space and location might not be the best.

Very unique coffee flavor! I've gotten the phin drip with condensed milk, matcha ube, and latte with hazelnut syrup so far! Their drinks are not very sweet which is great! The coffee is nutty, concentrated, and a little fruity. The price is about the same as other coffee places but I come here for the unique flavor! Service and ambiance are great! It's somewhere I would go to have a nice chat!

This place is pretty good! I got the matcha latte, and it was so good. The matcha flavor wasn't too strong, but a good balance with the milk. I do wish there were more milk options, but this place was good nonetheless! They accommodated to all my requests. The baristas were super kind and explained everything to me, making sure to meet all my dietary needs--even with all my questions! I love a cafe that has patient and attentive service! They were also really helpful with explaining some of their specialty drinks. I just wish this was a study café and closer to home because I'd stay here ALL DAY--the vibes are immaculate. Next time I'm in the area, I'm definitely trying their Vietnamese coffee. I just KNOW it'll be good. As a Vietnamese American, I'm so happy I can support small businesses like this one.

I ordered a simple coffee from Fat Miilk on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 11 am. It wasn't busy during this time. One thing that really caught my eye about this establishment was the interior design. I thought the coffee shop had such a nice aesthetic with its black walls and fixtures. The white mural of the lady in the straw hat added a nice contrast to the overall black aesthetics. I just had a simple Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. It had a nice bold flavor and the condensed milk gave the coffee some richness that you can't really achieve with traditional creamer. I don't typically drink Vietnamese iced coffee even as a Vietnamese-American myself because I think most places that sell it make it too unbalanced. However, this Fat Miilk's Vietnamese iced coffee had just the right amount of creaminess from the condensed milk and richness of the coffee. Service was great. I commend the barista for concocting such a well-crafted iced coffee.

On a mild Sunday afternoon, we stopped by Fat Miilk for a creamy oat milk latte and it was delicious!!! Smooth, flavorful, just a touch of bitterness and lots of ice to keep it cool. It was so good, I grabbed two bags of robusta beans to take with me. The staff were friendly and the whole place had a laid back vibe. Sit at the window and sip while you watch the denizens of North Broadway going about their business. Good stuff. Cheers to Fat Miilk for bringing a Vietnamese coffee shop to Argyle. Once my bags of beans run out, I'll definitely be stopping in again!

Visited July 16, 2024. The Iced Vietnamese Traditional Coffee is delicious! Highly recommend this if you like strong coffee. Some places have a lingering aftertaste but Fat Miilk is pretty smooth, not too sweet (with condensed milk), and does the hassle of the dripping process for you! Service was great and had great authentic restaurant recommendations for the area. Ambiance was a clean dark interior.

The entire cafe space is super cool in terms of interior decor! The all black with the textures on the wall make it have such a cool feel. This space is definitely a grab and go coffee feel as opposed to a WFH type of cafe. The coffee is DELICIOUS. It's one of my favorites in the city! The ladies who were working there were nice and service was quick. Lan, the owner, is so sweet and extremely friendly! This is 100% worth stopping by at before or after a meal in uptown.
